Luke is an MRes + PhD student at the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Future Infrastructure and Built Environment: Unlocking Net Zero (FIBE3). His research will focus on optimising the design of offshore wind turbine foundations. He will be supervised by Dr. Sam Stanier.

Prior to joining FIBE3, Luke graduated from the University of Nottingham with an MEng degree in Civil Engineering. His final year research project involved collaborating with BGS, who provided essential data, to explore the use of stochastic methods and data-driven models to assess soft cliff erosion. During his undergraduate studies, Luke was awarded with the Nottingham  Engineering Excellence Award and Caunton Engineering Design Award. He also gained industry experience through internships with Pell Frischmann and Balfour Beatty.
