About
Robert Claridge is an MRes + PhD student at the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Future Infrastructure and Built Environment: Unlocking Net Zero (FIBE3 CDT). His research interests include user centric design and how Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA) and Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) can be improved and strategically adopted to create a greener, more productive and future ready construction sector. His project is supervised by Dr. Brian Sheil.
Robert completed his Master's in Civil Engineering at Imperial College London and has received several awards across the finance and construction sectors. His PhD seeks to address the skills crisis by understanding how construction can create more attractive, sustainable, and future-ready forms of work to find, grow and keep talent. By uncovering these factors, his research aims to shape good work and advance DfMA and MMC on the path to net-zero.
