About
Xina Li is an MRes + PhD student at the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Future Infrastructure and Built Environment: Unlocking Net Zero (FIBE3 CDT) at the University of Cambridge. Her research focuses on advancing transition finance for sustainable infrastructure. Her PhD is supervised by Dr Edoardo Borgomeo, Associate Professor of Water Engineering in the Department of Engineering at the University of Cambridge. His research covers sustainable water resources management, climate change adaptation, and water policy, and he has advised on water strategy and infrastructure planning across regions including sub-Saharan Africa, Central and South Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America; he was co-recipient of the Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz International Prize for Water for work on water resources planning under climate change. Xina completed her MEng in Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering at the University of Cambridge. Before returning to academia, she worked in industry and gained Chartered Accountancy status, building professional experience in external audit, taxation, and internal audit across sectors spanning financial services, insurance, aerospace, and technology.
